Masters Trophy

The Barrow Members played for the 36-hole Masters’ Trophy on Sunday 18th in rather difficult scoring conditions.
It was vigorously contested and there were 20 people within 5 shots of the leader after the morning round.
Consistency is the key to winning a 36-hole competition and this was proved when the eventual victor, Craig Kirkby, posted 80-11=69 in the morning round and managed to shoot even better in the afternoon with 79-11=68.
The trophy was presented to Craig by Mr Vice Captain, Simon Dutton.

Barrow Golf Club is a jewel set amidst the splendour of the Lake District and the beauty of the Furness Peninsula.

Formed in 1921, its elevated position, overlooking the Duddon estuary and with glorious views of the Lakeland mountains, provides a fitting backdrop to this 18 hole, 6200 yard, Par 71, championship golf course.

The course is designed to provide exciting and challenging golf to test players of all standards. Whether you are a seasoned all year golfer or a casual green fee player, Barrow Golf Club offers friendly and relaxed hospitality to all.
