Lady Captain’s Charity Open

12 Teams played in Lady Captain’s Charity Open on Friday 21st July with all proceeds going to the Furness & District branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association.

 

The winners with 81 points were Carol Elliott, Sandra Wilson, Bev Ross & Sue Newsham.

Second place went to Sue Kirkby, Pat Duxbury, Pauline McCartan & Jackie Finch with 77, followed by Janette Dutton, Sheean McKeever, Carol Kermode & Mandy Savage with 75.

 

Jackie would like to offer her sincere thanks to all who took part, including tee sponsors Holdens, Andy Gunson, Oxley’s and StayDry Roofing; and to all who supported and so generously donated.

 

Together we raised in excess of £1200 for MND

Barrow Golf Club is a jewel set amidst the splendour of the Lake District and the beauty of the Furness Peninsula.

Formed in 1921, its elevated position, overlooking the Duddon estuary and with glorious views of the Lakeland mountains, provides a fitting backdrop to this 18 hole, 6200 yard, Par 71, championship golf course.
