Northern Junior Golf Tour

Barrow Golf Club was delighted to host the Northern Junior Golf Tour on Sunday 7th July.

The day started with clouds which turned to rain, but this gave way to sunshine for the afternoon.

The club gave its usual warm welcome to the visiting competitors and their families, and several Barrow Golf Club members and friends helped with various tasks to make everything flow smoothly.

A successful day for Barrow juniors

Joseph Pennington, 1st under 16s net.

Niamh Carruthers, 1st under 15s girls gross and net.

Toby Prentice 2nd , 6-7 years.

Lily-Rose Prentice 1st girls 10-12 years.

Barrow Golf Club is a jewel set amidst the splendour of the Lake District and the beauty of the Furness Peninsula.

Formed in 1921, its elevated position, overlooking the Duddon estuary and with glorious views of the Lakeland mountains, provides a fitting backdrop to this 18 hole, 6200 yard, Par 71, championship golf course.

The course is designed to provide exciting and challenging golf to test players of all standards. Whether you are a seasoned all year golfer or a casual green fee player, Barrow Golf Club offers friendly and relaxed hospitality to all.
